V. Balakrishnan, an M.Tech from IIT Kanpur (1972), is responsible for Business Processes Integration and the transformation of Polaris using industry standard solutions like the Peoplesoft ERP suite (Finance, HR, Payroll, CRM, Projects).

Earlier as the Head of Knowledge Management in Polaris, USA, he was instrumental in developing the ‘OSA’ architecture to significantly enhance the speed of implementing role-based information access from Peoplesoft systems.

Balakrishnan has managed large projects in several industries such as the first Distributed Digital control system in India (Kudremukh), the first large VSAT project (National Stock Exchange / Comnet), message switch for the Army (ECIL) etc, prior to joining Polaris in 1997.
